This was extremely disappointing, because we like Holiday Inn Express. We went to bed around midnight and immediately heard music. It sounded like a loud bar next door. At 2am got up, walked around then realized the music was from the lobby, and just outside the entrance it was loud. Our room was right above the front entrance. The guy at the desk said there was nothing he could do because he had no key to that room. Went back up, couldn't sleep, so went back down at 3:30am. I asked him to call the manager, which he did, so I went up. No change. I was told by the day staff that they could still do nothing, as the manager with the key was out sick. I did get another room on the 4th floor and a small discount. Some friends who came the next day said they also heard the music the following night. I don't need to pay almost $200 a night just to not sleep. The 2nd morning breakfast was awful, and for the final hour, half of the hot food was empty. I'll never stay at this location again.

Nice place great staff locations was great pool and hot tub was working used the breakfast was delicious and the lobby is so nice and clean and the allowed our dog and gave us all the towels we need since the kids love to swim

My husband and I like to come here to unwind from the pressures of our life. Because there are never any problems or issues for us with this hotel, we are confident that we’ll have a stress free time. We appreciate how quiet it is and how comfortable. Thanks for having a functional little fridge, plenty of safety grab bars in the bathroom, a jetted tub, and crispy bacon. My husband also appreciated how he could attach our portable dvd player easily to the tv so we could watch our favorite videos.

This HIE location has a nice location and a big plus is the fact that it offers two kings rather than queens in the 2-bed units. I've stayed here several times. This time, one huge oversight soured me on returning (though I probably will, because of the location).
I went down to breakfast only to find there was almost nothing being served! As someone who stays at IHG properties almost two months a year, I know that HIE breakfasts never are anything to brag about, but this was pathetic. No pancakes, no cinnamon rolls, no muffins, no hardboiled eggs, some cereal had run out, only one type of omelet. (I never eat the omelets ... this time I had no choice.)
I felt bad for the staff. They were polite as people complained (and I had the sense guests were trying to be kind to the staff, knowing it probably wasn't their fault). We were told that occupancy had been particularly heavy the previous two nights. So? You know your reservation numbers in advance ... this was just terrible planning and follow through on management's part. I complained to the front desk and expressed that they owed every guest some sort of compensation. She politely agreed, but didn't offer anything, not even some token Rewards points.
Many of us choose HIE because the breakfast equals cost- and time-savings. Seaside badly let its guests down. If this had been my first stay at a HIE, I can guarantee I'd never be back.

We took an overnight trip to get out of the city for a bit. We loved that they were super dog friendly. It was clean and everyone was super nice to us and they were LGBQT friendly. The facilities were clean and we love that it’s smoke free! We think there could be a little more gluten free breakfast options but it’s a good size breakfast regardless we usually stay in non chain stays to get the experience but we’re happy to come back anytime!

Check in was very simple. The room was clean and comfortable. I would have preferred the exterior porch/balcony light to be able to turn off at night to allow the blackout curtain to remain partially open for open door air flow, but running the fan was a sufficient option.

The reception staff member was very welcoming and accommodating. Our room was comfortable, clean and spacious. We especially enjoyed the view of the river. We travel with a small dog who is very friendly and felt welcomed by the staff. We have stayed here a number of times and have always enjoyed our stays. Very clean hotel, nicely decorated.

They had a planned power outage and the staff knew about that for months. The only notification was a piece of paper on the exit doors. I was a bit surprised and disappointed. Other than that the stay was good.
