Disappointed in the breakfast. Holiday Inn Express is supposed to be the best. the refrigerator had only butter, nothing else. No yogurt and no MILK (for cereal). had to ask for coffee. No fruit! this is the worst breakfast at Holiday Inn Express I have ever experienced. The one person taking care of the breakfast area had the sniffles and probably should not have been working with food that day.

I typical have good experiences with Holiday Inn, but my stay in George West was far below expectations. The room that I was assigned had the water shut off. I could not use the toilet, sink, or shower. I reported it to the front desk and they assigned me a new room. I packed everything up and moved to the new room to find that the television was not working in the new room. Sometimes things happen. I get that, but there was no discount offered or any amenities for the inconvenience. I payed a premium price for the room and received a subpar experience.
The one bright spot was the young man who was working the front desk. He was swamped with calls and customers, but he remained very polite and did everything he could to help me out.

First of all. This hotel was dirty, old, outdated and over $250 bucks. Bad business. I’ve been an IHg member for over 10 years. Never seen anything like this.
Rust and grime in the tub. Holes in the carpet. Room smelled of mold. One TV didn’t work. I have pictures for you Considering switching to another group. I’m disappointed

This was my first stay at this location, but definitely not my last. Everything was perfect. Easy access and plenty of parking. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly. The upgraded room was fresh and clean. Slept great, awoke refreshed, and grabbed a delicious coffee on the way out. Check was quick. The entire stay was an awesome experience. I would recommend the George West location to anyone traveling in the area.
